Bed bugs have been consistently reported in libraries around the Vancouver area, and library officials are now doing something to hopefully stop the surge of these little insects in their books and shelves, according to The Globe and Mail.
The executive director of the Public Library InterLINK, Michael Burris, has promised that he will be purchasing $345 worth of traps to hopefully get rid of this problem for good, according to the media outlet.
"It's the most effective tool we have right now. Maybe in the new year, there will be another way," Burris told the news source. "For now, this is the best option."
According to Medline Plus, there are a number of ways to get rid of bed bugs, including washing and drying linens in high temperatures, purchasing mattress covers to trap them in a bed and also calling professional help to get rid of them completely. If you only miss a couple of these little critters, they will be back in full force sooner than later.
